SAMANTHA TUCKER

Director

Sam started dancing at a young age at Dance Industries 881 in Geraldton, WA and immediately fell in love with the art form and being on stage. Sam performed regularly in local performances, concerts and regional competitions.
At the age of 13 Sam moved to Broome where she continued dancing at DeckArts Studio and travelled regularly to compete in state wide competitions in Perth, WA with St Mary’s College, bringing home a state championship and top scoring soloist with YOH FEST WA.
After graduating from high school Sam moved to Perth, WA where she started training full time as a dance major at Principal Academy Of Dance.

Wanting to challenge herself outside of WA Sam auditioned for Urban Dance Centre in Sydney, NSW where she was successful and went on to complete her Cert IV in Performing Arts.
After graduating from UDC she moved to New York City, USA and began training full time at Broadway Dance Center where she concentrated in Jazz and Musical Theatre and was privileged to dance alongside industry and Broadway professionals whilst learning from world renowned Choreographers.

Sam is a well-rounded and versatile dancer having trained in a variety of genres that include Jazz, Classical Ballet, Contemporary, Lyrical, Tap, Musical Theatre, Hip hop and street styles, Acrobatics,  as well as modelling and acting.
Some performance highlights in film and television include performing on Good Morning America, music videos ‘heart beat love’ directed by Juliette Verne, Faydee and other upcoming Australian artist’s music videos.
Stage and Theatre Productions including ‘Life is a Cabaret’, ‘Block Busta’, Derek Mitchell Flash Mobs NYC and Broadway Dance Center’s Performance Project.

Sam believes in the great talent of our beautiful, humble town Broome and hopes to pass on to her students a wealth of knowledge and experience whilst encouraging them to enjoy the Performing Arts.
