Artists Director
Justine De Bruyn
Justine began dancing at age 3, studying Tap & Ballet in Lithgow, NSW. Growing up the family moved around a lot, but Justine joined dance studios and performed regularly in shows, performances and regional competitions. She completed her B.A.L syllabus examinations in Elementary Tap and Pre-Elementary Ballet before moving to Darwin where she broadened her studies to include Hip Hop, Irish Dance & Contemporary. Throughout her career Justine has performed for Juniper Tree Dance Company, Tracks Dance & Darwin Theatre Company whilst teaching in several primary and high schools and dance studios. She has also worked for Vibe UK, performing weekly for nightclubs, awards shows, radio roadshows, popstars & back up dancing for several UK pop stars. At the Brent St Performing Arts School Justine gained her cert IV in Performing Arts and furthered her studies in Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Ballet, Drama & Singing, combining her studies with performances on MTV Awards, Westfield TVCs, the Boy From Oz, various music videos for Australia Artists and much more.

Erin Mcmanis
Erin, or Ronnie as she is well known, is a huge asset to the BPAC community. With extensive dance training and an interest in pilates and dancer strength work she is always a familiar face in the studio.

Classical Ballet
Tracey Deegan
Tracey undertook her studies at Australian Dance Academy for over 10 years before performing for several years with Duprada Dance Company as a company member and soloist. The company undertook several study tours within Australia and attended master classes with members of the Australian Ballet and Australian Dancers Company. After graduating Tracey went on to study at university completing a double degree in business. In 2009 she moved to Broome and began teaching Ballet at DeckArts Studio before joining forces with other powerhouse mums and dancers to create Broome Dance Co-Op, now known as Broome Performing Arts Co-op.

Classical Ballet
Hannah Anderson
Hannah started dancing when she was about 4 years old and fell in love with Classical Ballet. This soon became her passion and she was dancing full time by the time she was 17. Hannah studied and completed the whole RAD syllabus as well as studying Cecchetti and Contemporary. Throughout her training, she performed with the WA Young Dancers company and represented West Australia in National Competitions. Hannah's dancing was unfortunately cut short after an injury, but she returned to teaching a short time later. After 3 years of teaching Hannah left to have her own kids and her family found their way to Broome in 2021.

Triple Threat
Bex Youdale
Bex has called the Kimberley home since 2007 and is a very talented, versatile performer. She brings her vocal talents and teachings to our Triple Threat students.

Tricks
Livia Mackenzie
Livia Mackenzie is a professional acrobatic artist who brings exceptional skill, strength and creativity to BPAC. As the teacher of our Tricks classes, she specialises in safe, progressive acrobatic training that helps students build confidence, flexibility and control. Livia is passionate about pushing dancers to achieve their potential in a supportive and structured environment, while keeping classes fun, dynamic and full of energy.

Will Tredinnick
Well known in the Broome community for his acting and circus talents. Will supports BPAC kids in Tricks classes.

Lyrical
Tara Gower
Tara Gower is a Yawuru woman from Broome, who returned home in 2020 after dancing professionally with Bangarra Dance Theatre for 15 years. Bangarra is Australia’s leading Indigenous Dance Company. Tara currently has a youth dance crew that performs regularly at local events for the past 4 years. Tara has always known she would return home to share her movement sills combined with First Nations story telling with her community.

Karin O'Grady
Karin started classical ballet at the age of 4 and like most dance addicts added jazz and tap shortly after. Training under Barbara Everson's Northern Ballet Academy and Young Friends of the Ballet inc, Karin grew as a well rounded performer but her love of tap dancing always shined through. Karin began tapping with BPAC in 2024 and joined the teaching team in 2026.

Cara Bracknell
It is a pleasure to have Cara teaching at Broome Performing Arts. A professionally trained dancer with extensive experience, Cara brings both exceptional knowledge and a genuine passion for classical ballet to every class. Her dedication to technique, artistry and student development makes her a valued part of the BPAC teaching team.

Kaiya Barrett-Lennard
Kaiya has been part of the BPAC family since childhood and now shares her passion for tap as a teacher at the studio. With years of experience growing up through the program, she brings both strong technical knowledge and a genuine love for rhythm, sound and performance. Kaiya creates fun, engaging classes where students are encouraged to build confidence, musicality and precision while enjoying the energy and creativity of tap dance.

Sydney Ford
Sydney has grown up within the BPAC community and is now a much-loved teacher, inspiring the next generation of young dancers with her warmth, enthusiasm and passion for performing arts. With a strong love for classical ballet, Sydney is passionate about sharing the discipline, grace and artistry of the style with her students, encouraging them to build confidence, technique and a genuine appreciation for dance.

Triple Threat, Song & Dance
Paisley Westlake
Paisley Westlake has been part of the BPAC family since she was a child and is now proud to be teaching the next generation of young dancers. Having grown up through the studio, Paisley brings a genuine love for the BPAC community along with a warm, encouraging approach to her classes. Passionate about dance and helping students grow in confidence, she creates a fun and supportive environment where every child feels welcomed and inspired.

Hip Hop, Jazz
Iona MacTier
Iona brings energy, confidence and creativity to every class she teaches at Broome Performing Arts. Specialising in Hip Hop and Jazz, Iona is passionate about helping students develop strong technique, performance skills and self-expression in a fun and supportive environment. Her positive attitude and engaging teaching style inspire dancers to step outside their comfort zones and enjoy every moment on stage and in the studio.

Cassie-Rain Arnott-Barker
Bringing big energy and plenty of passion to the studio, Cassie teaches Hip Hop and Jazz at Broome Performing Arts with a focus on confidence, performance and creativity. Cassie loves helping dancers build their skills while creating classes that are fun, supportive and full of personality. Her positive vibe and love of dance make her a favourite among students of all ages.

Ella Harrold
Ella brings a calm and encouraging energy to her lyrical classes at Broome Performing Arts. Passionate about movement, expression and storytelling through dance, she loves helping students build confidence while developing strong technique and artistry. Ella creates a supportive environment where dancers are encouraged to connect emotionally with movement, express themselves creatively and grow both on and off the stage.

Nyah Lowry
Nyrah Lowrey brings grace, passion and creativity to every class she teaches at Broome Performing Arts. Teaching lyrical across both our Xtension Team and general classes, Nyrah is known for her ability to help dancers connect movement with emotion while building strong technique and confidence. Her supportive and encouraging approach creates a positive environment where students feel inspired to grow, express themselves and truly enjoy dance.

Jazz, Hip Hop
Jacinta Desouza
Jacinta brings energy, creativity and a love of performance to her Hip Hop and Jazz classes at BPAC. Teaching alongside Iona, she enjoys creating a positive and encouraging environment where students can build confidence, develop their skills and have fun while dancing. Her upbeat teaching style and passion for teamwork make her a valued part of the BPAC teaching community.
Support Teachers
Our support teachers are the heart behind the scenes at BPAC — encouraging little dancers, tying shoelaces, calming nerves and cheering students on every step of the way. Many have grown up within the BPAC family themselves and now love giving back by helping create a fun, supportive and positive environment for the next generation of performers.
